The flat is located in the St Petersburg historic district, opposite the New Holland island. Vladimir Berezin created the design for his friend, for whom the studio-flat became his first independent dwelling. Due to its square shape and after the bathroom space had been reduced, it was possible to accommodate all the necessary functional items: the king-size bed, cooking and dining area, and storage system.
The space allows for a study-place and a large arm-chair that can be converted into an extra guest bed. For the walls, the particular white hue was picked deliberately to ensure abundance of light and comfort even on gloomiest of days. The bedhead is upholstered in white velvet, floors and kitchen veneers are made from oak, with the focal point of the whole being the deep emerald of the window curtains.
